Generation by Knoll

This chair is so awesome in so many ways. Do want! Sadly there’s the price tag, don’t think I’ll be buying a +700€ chair anytime soon…

But this chair is truly great, it has some unique features that are really innovative and it looks so nice. In fact, it won the Best of NeoCon Gold Award for Seating: Desk/Workstation Task Chairs, 2009. Check it out!

So nice, flexible and yet elegant.

Finished a new project

Last week and the week before that I was quite involved in a project that got launched today! It’s a website called teehuone.fi, they import organic and qood quality tea from China and will use the site to promote their products (9 varieties of tea!) and as a active tea blog. As a tea lover I’m looking forward to getting my hands on a sample of this. I added the project to my portfolio and you can check it out over at teehuone.fi

Screen shot of the site. Looking fresh!

Mind blowing numbers

This video was absolutely gorgeus and it contained a lot of good knowledge. I know that the internet is HUGE but everytime i see these absurdly big numbers my jaw just drops to the floor. I mean, how do you handle a number like 90 Trillion?!!

Carry Hope

A quick quote from Print magazine to explain what this is about

For the next issue of Print we have invited 12 leading visual artists to choose a cause they would like to support and create a design for tote bags that will be sold on MyDesignShop.com. One hundred percent of the profits from these bags will go to the causes chosen by the artists

We are now opening up submissions to the public and would love for you to participate. Choose a cause you’d like to support, and create a design for it that can be printed on a tote. Three winning designs and artists will be featured in the magazine. One winner will have his or her creation printed onto a bag and will also get to choose one of the totes made by our commissioned designers. The winner’s bag will be available in our online store and the profits will go to his/her selected charity.

The cause I chose was to support the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. So without much further due, here’s my design.

Slowmo rules!

Yes, it has been proven once again – slow motion pretty much kicks ass!

A present for dad

A month from now my father will turn 50years and I would very much like to give him something unique and personal instead of some expensive bottle of whiskey or a 241nd tie. I was thinking of making a booklet with about 12 pages or so. The method is yet unclear but i  happen to have some really nice slightly bone colored 240g paper lying around that just might do the trick.

Anywho, I got inspired by this Lo-Fi silk screen printing i found over at For Print Only while searching for “dad“.

Simplicity is hard

Just stumbled across this wonderful and hilarious post about how hard simplicity is when there are others in your life.

Me: Can we get rid of the television now?
Her: No, we might need it.
Me: OK, but I’m not plugging it back in.
Her: I hate you.
