Well now the iPad is out soon there will be a lot of new apps in appstore spcificly for the iPad, which is nice. I haven’t bought the gadget (yet) but thanks to our islandic friends I wouldn’t, even get it anytime soon.

However, designing web pages for the iPad is a whole new thing and I would be rather interested in it and as with all new things there comes new problems. Information architects wrote a really nice article about this, read it.

Yesterday when I came home for work I had a rather pleasant surprise waiting at me – the newest issue of It’s Nice That! What a truly great publication it is, have just read some articles but boy does it look good. You should definitely get a copy if they are still some left.

Issue #3

Fount this great article called “Life below 600px written by iampaddy, in a nutshell it’s about thinking about web design in the non-traditional way. He currently has four published articles and a fifth on its way. They’re a good read! Another thing i really like about his articles is that they all have a different layout which gives a great touch to the page.

Life below 600px – something every web designer should read

It’s already April and the deadline for the preliminary assignments to TaiK is on the 16th April! Panic!

I’ve been now studying at Arcada for the past two years at the Digital Multimedia program but it has not fulfilled my expectations on so many levels so I decided it’s time for a change. I’m applying for the Graphic Design program and one of our preliminary assignments was to make a printed portfolio, so I’m devoting this easter in a rather non-traditional way – making my portfolio.

Work in progress, got the structure pretty much sorted out :)

Oh, I’m listening to the Eko Lagos – Fight to Win album right now, such great music I discovered by accident! Really inspiring!

Just got a mail that someone added me on twitter, so I looked at his profile wich had a link to his portfolio. Amazing work was I found, just loving Lauris simple and minimal and yet colorful illustrations. Seriously want the one with the recordplayer hanging on my wall! Check out his work!

This is awesome in so many ways, love.

Found these posters a while ago but didn’t post them (don’t know why) and now I accidentally rediscovered them so here you go. These five posters would be SO nice to have hanging in my room, just love the usage of color in contrast with b/w photos and the typography is gorgeous.

They’re made by spanish designer Jorge León, check out his site, he has made a lot of other interesting work.

Dos / Miguel Indurain

Quatro / Marco Pantani

Continuing on the subject of interior design and offices, I found this really nice office/loft from apartment therapy unplggd. Just love the look of the loft, so much lovely colors but still a lot of simplicity and the floor is just gorgeous. The loft belongs to Dee Adams, interior designer and senior producer at Yahoo!
